Nikolay and Elena Komarov are the Academics of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts (St. Petersburg), members of the Russian Artist Union. In 2019 they were awarded the title of “Honoured Artist of Europe".

 

Nikolaj and Elena Komarov are famous Russian artists, representatives of the academic school of painting which goes back to the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint-Petersburg. Founded in 1757 the Academy of Arts is one of the most powerful (impressive) schools in the world. The system of teaching in the Academy performs the best traditions of West-Eastern Art starting from masters of the Italian Renaissance.

 

 

The Academy of Arts has given the world the best artists-realists. Carrying on the traditions of the Academic School of Arts painters Nikolaj and Elena Komarov are working in a wide specific difference and genre-painting range. Among their works, there are important huge historical and biblical canvases, landscapes of Russia, the Holy Land, and other countries of the East and West and also genre-painting pictures (drawings) and portraits of contemporaries as well.
